Initial Complimentary Consultation/Physician Consultation

During this initial consultation we will describe the donor embryo program in detail. We will answer questions about screening, matching and cost. In preparation for your physician follow-up, we will have you sign a release of medical records from your physicians and request that you have your OB/GYN clear you for pregnancy (OB clearance letter).

The benefits of donor embryos as well as alternatives such as use of donor eggs or autologous IVF will be discussed.  

Physician Follow-Up

Our partner clinic will obtain your medical records and screen you for eligibility into our guarantee program upon request. They will review the process of embryo transfer and evaluate your uterine cavity. In some cases additional documentation or testing is needed. Once all documentation is reviewed, you will receive a refund eligibility determination from the clinical team and a letter documenting it. If you do not receive this refund eligibility letter, you are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.

Testing

Since your embryo transfer will take place at our partner clinic in Northern California, we will require that you undergo blood tests that are compliant with California state laws. These may vary from the states in which you reside.

Counseling

The American Society For Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) has guidelines for third party reproduction for donors and recipients. These include a recommendation for all donors and recipients of donor tissue to undergo counseling with a mental health provider familiar with, and experienced with, ASRM’s recommendations for counseling. Thus all program participants are required to complete this. It is an opportunity to ask questions about having a child using donor embryos and address any concerns. Conception Fertility must have a letter from your provider stating that this requirement has been met before you may match with a donor embryo profile.

Matching

You will have the opportunity to review our egg donor and embryo database throughout the process. You may decide whether to use the embryo creation or embryo selection option to complete your family. You may also elect to use any donated embryos in our program. Your coordinator will assist in the match process and answer questions as they arise.
