Because the program offers 2 transfer opportunities, the rate of success will usually exceed 90% when the recipient (Intended mother or surrogate) has a normal uterus.

Parental Rights:

When donors relinquish their parental rights to the embryos, the resulting pregnancy becomes the responsibility of the receiving person or couple (intended parents). Similar to adoption, the parent(s) aren’t genetically related to their future children. With the Conception Fertility Donor Embryo Program, the intended mother or surrogate carries the pregnancy and gives birth without facing legal hurdles or issues with parental rights. The intended parent(s) can cherish the pregnancy, have their names on the baby’s birth certificate, and start a family without the complexities of adoption.

Embryo Adoption: 

Pregnancy using donated embryos is sometimes called “embryo adoption.” However, since the intended mother carries the pregnancy and gives birth, and there are no legal disputes over parental rights, the term “embryo adoption” isn’t entirely accurate. The term “Donor embryos” is often used when the embryos come from a donor egg and donor sperm. “Donated embryos” refers to embryos donated by others after completing their own fertility treatments, also known as “traditional embryo donation.”
